Gamers all over the world are anticipating news of Elden Ring DLC after a mystery entry appeared in Bandai Namco‘s Tokyo Game Show calendar.
Fans are hoping that the unexplained slot on Bandai Namco Entertainment’s TGS schedule is for the announcement of Elden Ring downloadable content. The Tokyo Game Show will run from September 15th through the 18th. Publishers like Square Enix are giving fans a heads up about their plans and appearances at the show.
Bandai Namco’s opening day has several titles, including two Gundam games, One Piece Odyssey, and more. The Tales Of series, two Dragon Ball Z games, and a Monster Farm game are all releasing on September 16. There will be a lot of games, but the one that stands out the most is the mystery “???” that is listed as Bandai Namco’s last entry for the Tokyo Game Show.
What’s this? A DLC for Elden Ring being announced at TGS?
At a show like this, the most important information or surprises tend to be saved for last. Unlike most other time slots, which feature at least two games, this one appears to be devoted entirely to a single game. This focus on the final title has led many to speculate that Bandai Namco and FromSoftware may reveal the Elden Ring downloadable content there. Since most FromSoftware DLC arrives approximately a year after the base game, and September 18 is almost 7 months after Elden Ring’s release, this makes sense from a timing standpoint. Some have speculated that the DLC could launch in November, based on reports about an art book, and if this is the case, an announcement at TGS would be even more plausible.
Fingers crossed, but it could be something else too. Personally hope it’s a DLC for the Elden Ring.
